Nokia Lumia 638 affordable 4G enabled Windows 8.1 smartphone launched in India, priced at Rs 8,299

Microsoft has today launched its cheapest LTE-enabled Windows 8.1 smartphone in India called the Lumia 638. The smartphone will be available on the official Microsoft Store on Amazon India, priced at Rs 8,299. Pre-booking for the smartphone is set to start tomorrow.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nokia Lumia 638 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) Clearback LCD display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is 8GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel auto focus camera, no front-facing camera, a 1,830mAh battery, and connectivity options like LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and on the software front, it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan.
As an introductory offer, Microsoft has bundled offers in conjunction with Airtel. Airtel postpaid users in Bengaluru can get up to 5GB of free LTE data for a period of two months. The offer is only applicable until March 31, 2015.
